ARK Survival Evolved is a survival-themed action-adventure video game. The objective of the game is for players to remain alive after being marooned on one of many maps. The game may be played either by a single player or by many simultaneously. More than one hundred wild species may be domesticated by employing a difficult capture-and-affinity method. Additionally, larger tames can be ridden and directly commanded! Fly a Pterodactyl over the snow-capped Alps, carry comrades over the opposing walls, sprint through the jungle with a flock of Raptors, tromp into an enemy base with a massive brontosaurus, or hunt down your victims while riding a rampaging T-Rex! Participate in the life cycle of an evolving ecosystem that features its own predator and prey hierarchies. In this experience, you will play the role of one creature among many other species that are all vying for supremacy and survival. Tames may also be bred with the opposing gender to selectively breed subsequent generations utilizing a characteristic system based on recombinant genetic inheritance. This can be done by mating a tame with the other gender. This procedure encompasses both the incubation of embryos within eggs and the gestation of mammals. Or put more simply, raise kids!

Ark: Survival Evolved, sometimes styled simply as ARK, is a survival-themed action-adventure video game that was released in 2017 and was created by Studio Wildcard. The objective of the game is for players to remain alive after being marooned on one of many maps that feature wandering dinosaurs, fictitious fantasy creatures and other prehistoric animals, natural perils, and other human players who may or may not be hostile. The open world of the game may be explored on foot or by riding ancient animals, and the player can choose to play the game from either the first-person or the third-person perspective. Players have the ability to defend themselves against hostile people and monsters by using guns and improvised weapons, and they also have the ability to create bases as a defense on the ground and on some creatures. The game may be played either by a single player or by many players simultaneously. The ability to organize players into clans is one of the benefits of multiplayer games. The maximum allowed number of players on a tribal mates team varies depending on the server. In this mode, all tamed dinosaurs and the structures that players have built are often divided among the members of the group. In the player versus environment (PvE) game mode, players do not engage in combat with one another. The game’s development started in October 2014, and it was initially made available on the PC as an early access title in the middle of the following year. The game’s production team did research into the outward look of the creatures, but for the purposes of the gameplay, they exercised their creative freedom. For the purpose of facilitating the creation of the game, Instinct Games, Efecto Studios, and Virtual Basement were contracted. In August of 2017, the game was made available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux operating systems. Versions of the game are scheduled to be published for Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch in 2018, and a version for Stadia is scheduled to be released in 2021. Criticism was leveled towards Ark: Survival Evolved for its “punishing” difficulty, dependency on grinding, and performance concerns, notably on the Nintendo Switch version of the game. However, the game was met with generally positive reception. The game’s downloadable content has been updated with many new additions in recent months. Both the virtual reality game Ark Park and the sandbox survival game PixArk were released in March 2018 as spin-offs of the original game. Additionally, the game spawned two companion apps: A-Calc in October 2015 and Dododex in August 2017.
