Vein Server Configuration Guide
Vein dedicated servers are primarily configured using Game.ini and Engine.ini files found in the server's saved configuration directory.
Configuration Files Location
Windows: Vein/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/
Linux: Vein/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/
Game.ini Settings
This file controls gameplay mechanics. Ensure you add the correct section header [/Script/Vein.VeinGameMode] or similar if required, though many settings work under [ServerSettings] or specific headers.
Zombie AI & Spawning
Adjust the difficulty by tweaking zombie stats:

vein.AISpawner.HordeMode | True | Enable or disable periodic zombie hordes. |
Loot & World
Control resource scarcity and respawn timers:
- vein.Scarcity.Difficulty: 0 (Abundant) to 4 (Scarce).
- vein.ContainersRespawn.Interval: Time in seconds for loot to respawn in containers.
- vein.ContainersRespawn.Enabled: Set to
Trueto allow loot respawning. - DayLength: Duration of a full in-game day in minutes.
Engine.ini Settings
Used for lower-level engine configurations, but sometimes stores admin-set gameplay variables if changed via the in-game console.
