Setting Up Admin Tools

Vanilla admin commands are limited. We recommend installing VPPAdminTools or Community Online Tools (COT).

Prerequisites

Both tools require the CF (Community Framework) mod to function.

Step 1: Install Mods

1. Subscribe to @CF and @VPPAdminTools (or @Community-Online-Tools) on Steam Workshop.

2. Upload them to your server root directory.

3. Copy the .bikey files from inside the mod folders to your server's /keys/ folder.

4. Add them to your startup command: "-mod=@CF;@VPPAdminTools".

Step 2: Assigning Permissions (VPP)

1. Start the server once to generate config files, then stop it.

2. Navigate to /profiles/VPPAdminTools/Permissions/SuperAdmins.txt.

3. Add your Steam64ID on a new line.

4. Start server. Press End then Home in-game to open the menu.

Step 2: Assigning Permissions (COT)

1. Start server once, then stop.

2. Go to /profiles/PermissionsFramework/Players/.

3. You may need to generate a JSON file for your SteamID manually or use the in-game method if you set an administrator password in the config.

4. Press End or Y in-game to open access.
