Optimizing Server FPS

DayZ servers lag when there are too many items or zombies.

Tips

• Reduce Zombie Counts: Edit globals.xml to lower max zombie counts.
• Aggressive Cleanup: Lower the lifetime of common items (cans, paper) in types.xml to 300 seconds.
• Restart Schedule: DayZ servers leak memory. Schedule a restart every 4-6 hours using your hosting panel.
• Avoid "Hoarder" Mods: Mods that add thousands of decorative items will tank FPS.
