Server Requirements - Enshrouded Wiki

Enshrouded: Dedicated Server Specs

Enshrouded is built on the **Holistic** engine, which uses voxel technology. Every piece of terrain is destructible. This makes the game significantly more demanding than static-map games like Palworld or Valheim.

1. 16GB RAM is Standard

While 8GB might boot a fresh world, once players explore and modify the terrain, RAM usage spikes. 16GB is the widely accepted minimum for stability.

2. CPU Speed Matters

The game server logic (enemy AI, physics) runs heavily on a few core threads. You need a CPU with high single-core clock speeds (4.0GHz+), not just "more cores".

3. Upload Speed

Sending voxel data to 16 players requires massive bandwidth. Home connections with 20Mbps upload often cause "rubber-banding" for connected clients.

Detailed Requirements (2025)

Small Group (1-4 Players)

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 / Intel i5-9600K (or equivalent 6-core)
  • RAM: 12GB Minimum (Available to the process)
  • Storage: 30GB SSD
  • Network: 50Mbps Upload

Large Group (8-16 Players)

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X / Intel i9-12900K (High frequency is king)
  • RAM: 16GB - 24GB Dedicated
  • Storage: 60GB NVMe SSD (Fast loads are crucial for teleporting)
  • Network: 1Gbps Fiber recommended

Why "High Server Load"?

If you see the "High Server Load" warning in-game:

  1. **Packet Loss:** Your internet upload speed is choking.
  2. **CPU Bottleneck:** The server cannot calculate physics fast enough. This usually happens when many players are spread out in different chunks, forcing the server to simulate multiple areas at once.
  3. **Slow Disk:** An HDD cannot stream assets fast enough. **Always use an SSD.**

Note: Supercraft servers are hosted on enterprise-grade hardware specifically tuned for high-clock speed applications, ensuring your Glider flight is smooth and lag-free.

Power the Shroud. Host your Enshrouded server with Supercraft to ensure you have the raw power needed for a 16-player voxel adventure.
