Boss Fight Order

Boss Fight Order

Palworld does not force every group down a single path, but boss progression still works best when you move through the towers and alpha fights in a sensible order. The goal is to unlock better gear, mobility, and breeding options without smashing into a difficulty wall.

A Reliable Progression Path

Opening stretchStart with low-risk alphas and the earliest tower so you can learn dodge timing, partner skills, and repair costs without wasting rare ammo.
Midgame climbMove into desert, volcano, and electric matchups once you have steady metal, better armor, and a few specialized combat Pals.
Late-game checksLeave the hardest towers and legendary hunts until your group can field strong resistances, fast mounts, and spare ammo reserves.

How To Know You Are Ready

  • Your party has at least two damage types instead of relying on a single favorite Pal.
  • You can recover from one player going down without the whole fight collapsing.
  • Your base economy can replace arrows, spheres, medicine, and repaired gear after a failed attempt.

Preparation Wins More Than Level Alone

  1. Check the boss element and bring counters instead of the highest level Pals you own.
  2. Carry a ranged option even if you prefer melee-heavy play.
  3. Use mounts and movement tools to reduce time spent standing still in scripted arenas.
  4. Treat the first attempt like scouting if your server is set to harsh death penalties.

Verified 2026 Detail

The official settings reference also notes that `PalSpawnNumRate` affects game performance. On a server that raises spawn density for excitement, boss preparation may need to be more conservative because the route to the encounter can become the real resource drain.

Current Official Note

According to the official Palworld server settings schema, capture rates, damage multipliers, spawn rates, and death penalties are all server-side variables. That means the same boss route can feel forgiving on one server and punishing on another even when players are nominally at the same level.
