Palworld: The Ultimate Fast Leveling & XP Farming Guide
Leveling in Palworld determines your access to high-tier technology, base upgrades, and the ability to capture powerful Legendary Pals. While the early game is breezy, the climb from level 30 to 50 is a significant grind that requires optimized XP loops.
The 10-Catch Bonus
The core of Palworld leveling. You receive an exponential XP bonus for the first 10 captures of every species. Focus on "completing" low-level Pals before hunting rares.
Alpha Boss Loops
Alpha Pals (the marked bosses) respawn every 60 minutes. They provide massive XP, Ancient Technology Points, and high-tier crafting recipes.
Dungeon Reset Farming
Clearing dungeons is high-reward. For pure XP, clear the Pal mobs and the end boss, exit, and wait for the instance to reset (approx. 5-10 mins) for a fresh run.
Leveling Strategies by Stage
1. Early Game (Levels 1-20)
- 10-Catch Sprint: Stick to the starting islands. Catch 10x Lamball, Chickpi, Cattiva, Lifmunk, and Gumoss. This will rocket you to Level 15 in under an hour.
- Base XP: Building structures like the Logging Site and Stone Pit provides a solid one-time boost.
- Tower Boss: Defeat Zoe & Grizzbolt at the Rayne Syndicate Tower for ~40,000 XP.
2. Mid Game (Levels 20-40)
Establish a regular Boss Loop. Fast travel to these locations every hour:
| Alpha Boss | Level | Coordinates | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Penking | 15 | -114, -468 | Great for early Ancient Parts. |
| Bushi | 23 | -117, -491 | Very fast fight with Water Pals. |
| Quivern | 23 | -255, -130 | Drop site for high-tier spheres. |
| Mammorest | 38 | -175, -94 | Huge XP; use Fire/Poison/Burn DOTs. |
3. End Game (Levels 40-50)
- High-Level Captures: Head to No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary or the Astral Mountains. Capturing a Level 45+ Pal grants up to 4,000 XP per catch with the 10-catch bonus.
- Legendary Loop: Regularly defeat or capture Frostallion, Jetragon, and the Paladius/Necromus duo. These are the highest XP sources in the game.
Advanced XP Optimization
Pro Tip: Capture vs. Kill. Capturing a Pal provides nearly double the XP of killing it. Always carry plenty of Spheres. In the late game, killing is only for resource farming.
Server XP Multiplier Configuration
If you're hosting a private server, you can modify the leveling speed in PalWorldSettings.ini:
[/Script/Pal.PalGameWorldSettings]
OptionSettings=(ExpRate=2.0) # Double XP
# Recommended values: 1.5 for moderate, 3.0 for fast progression.
Party Synergy & XP Sharing
- Shared XP: All players within proximity share 100% of the XP from a kill or capture. You do NOT split the XP; everyone gets the full amount.
- Mount Combat: Attacking while mounted on a Pal allows you to cycle through your Pal's abilities and your own weapons for maximum DPS, speeding up boss kills.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Ignoring the 10-Catch Bonus: Many players stop at 1 or 2 of a species. You are leaving hundreds of thousands of XP on the table.
- Wasting Spheres on Duplicates: Once you have 10 of a species, capturing more provides very little XP. KILL them for resources instead.
- Underestimating Dungeons: Dungeons contain rare Pals and massive XP bosses. If you're stuck, go underground.
Level up without the hardware limitations. Host your Palworld server with Supercraft and enjoy dedicated resources for 100% uptime on your boss loops.
