Palworld: The Ultimate PvP & Arena Guide

While Palworld is primarily a cooperative survival game, it features a robust **PvP (Player versus Player)** system for those who want to test their Pal builds against the most dangerous prey of all: other humans. Whether you want a dedicated war server or a friendly sparring arena, configuring your settings correctly is the first step.

1. Open World PvP

By enabling global PvP, players can damage each other and each other's Pals anywhere in the world. This transforms the game into a high-stakes survival experience similar to Rust or ARK.

2. The Pal Arena

Added in the Summer Update, the Pal Arena allows for structured, consensual 3v3 battles without risking your items or base. This is the "competitive" mode for many Palworld communities.

3. Guild Diplomacy

In PvP mode, you can attack members of other guilds. Coordinate with your allies to build fortified bases and protect your valuable resources from midnight raids.

How to Enable PvP on Your Server

  1. Log in to your Supercraft Panel and Stop the server.
  2. Open the Basic Server Settings.
  3. Locate and enable the following two settings:
    • bIsPvP=true: This enables the general PvP flags.
    • bEnablePlayerToPlayerDamage=true: This allows players to actually hurt each other with weapons and Pals.
  4. Optional: Disable bEnableFriendlyFire if you want guildmates to be unable to hurt each other by accident.
  5. Click Save and Restart.

The Pal Arena: Structured Combat

Located near the Desolate Church, the Arena is the hub for organized duels.

  • No Item Loss: Unlike open-world PvP, if you lose in the Arena, you do not drop your inventory.
  • 3-Pal Teams: You select 3 Pals to fight alongside you in a fast-paced chaotic battle.
  • Cooldowns: Skills used in the Arena have separate cooldowns from the open world, ensuring every match starts on equal footing.

Survival Strategies for PvP Servers

Strategy Effect
Base FortificationPrioritize Metal and Stone walls. Wood is easily destroyed by Fire-type Pals in seconds.
Defensive PalsSet Pals with "Vanguard" or "Stronghold Strategist" passives to protect your player character.
Night StealthUse Dark-type Pals at night. They are harder to see for enemy players during raids.

Pro Tip: On high-stakes PvP servers, we recommend setting DeathPenalty=None or DeathPenalty=Item. If you leave it on All, losing one fight can result in losing weeks of progress, which often discourages competitive play.

Dominate the arena with zero lag. Host your Palworld server with Supercraft and ensure your 1v1 duels are decided by skill, not ping spikes.
