Palworld: Boosting Server FPS
"Server FPS" is the heartbeat of your world. If it drops below 30, pals will rubberband, hit registration will fail, and chests will take seconds to open. **60 FPS** is the target. If you are lagging, it is usually because of too many objects.
1. The Item Drop Killer
The #1 cause of lag is **Loose Items**. Thousands of stone/wood/ore sitting on the ground (from mining bases) clog the server's physics engine.
2. Pal Pathfinding
Every Pal in a base constantly calculates paths. 20 Pals x 32 Players = 640 AI entities. This crushes the CPU.
3. Fire Spread
Uncontrolled forest fires triggered by Raids can spawn thousands of fire particles. Disabling fire spread saves huge performance.
Optimization Settings (PalWorldSettings.ini)
Adjust these settings to instantly improve FPS:

In-Game Formatting Tips
Teach your players these rules to keep the server healthy:
- Consolidate Transport: Use chest placement near mining nodes so Transport Pals don't have to walk far, reducing pathfinding load.
- Spread Out Bases: Do not build 3 Guild Bases touching each other. This forces the server to simulate 60+ Pals in one chunk.
- Destroy Old Structures: Use the "Auto-Decay" settings to clean up abandoned bases from players who quit.
Diagnosis: If FPS is low, check the **Server FPS** counter in the bottom right (enable it via settings). If it dips to 10-15 during specific times, check if a large Guild is running a massive breeding operation.
