RV Interior Mod Setup Guide

RV Interior is a game-changing mod that allows you to "enter" the interiors of vans, trailers, and buses. It effectively turns your vehicle into a mobile base with functioning power, water, and storage.

Mod Features

  • Interactive Interiors: Walk inside your vehicle, place furniture, and sleep in a safe zone.
  • Power & Water: Large vehicles use the car battery and fuel to power interior lights and appliances.
  • Storage Bags: Access massive storage capacities that are safer than standard car trunks.
  • Compatibility: Supports over 100 vehicles including vanilla and popular mods like Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars.

Server-Side Installation

Installing this mod on a server is more complex than a standard mod because it requires a specific Map Loading Order. If configured incorrectly, you will receive "Map Mismatch" errors or simply be unable to enter the vehicles.

1. Enable the Mod and Workshop Item

Add these to your servertest.ini:

  • WorkshopItems= 2822286426
  • Mods= RV_Interior_MP

2. Configure the Map Order (CRITICAL)

The mod creates physical "cells" on the map where the interiors are kept. You MUST list the vehicle_interior map BEFORE Muldraugh or any other maps.

Find the Map= line in servertest.ini and set it exactly like this:

Map=vehicle_interior;Muldraugh, KY

Note: If you are using other map mods, vehicle_interior should still be the very first entry.

Anti-Cheat Configuration

In multiplayer, the teleportation mechanic used to enter the RV can sometimes trigger the server's anti-cheat. It is recommended to adjust these settings in your servertest.ini:

  • AntiCheatType2=false
  • AntiCheatType12=false

How to Use in Game

  1. Find a compatible vehicle (e.g., a Step Van, School Bus, or Trailer).
  2. Walk to the side or rear door of the vehicle.
  3. Press V to open the radial menu.
  4. Select the Enter icon (looks like a door/arrow).
  5. To exit, find the door inside the interior and use the radial menu again.

While the mod works with vanilla cars, it shines when paired with these vehicle packs:

Troubleshooting

"Can't see the Enter option"

  • Ensure you are standing close to the correct "entry point" (usually the back or side door).
  • The vehicle might not be compatible. Check the mod page for the list of supported IDs.
  • Verify that vehicle_interior is correctly spelled in the Map= line.

"Kicked for Map Mismatch"

This happens if your client has a different version of the map than the server.

  1. Unsubscribe from the mod on Steam.
  2. Delete the 2822286426 folder in SteamApps/workshop/content/108600/.
  3. Re-subscribe and let the game download the fresh files.
