Soulmask Roadmap 2026 — Early Access Patches & 1.0 Outlook

Soulmask launched into Early Access in 2024 and Qooland Games has shipped a steady run of major content patches since. This page tracks where Soulmask is in 2026, what Qooland has signaled is coming, and what's realistic to plan around.

Where the game is now

Still in Early Access, deep into post-launch content patches. The 2026 build has more biomes, tribes, mounts, and tooling than at EA launch.

What Qooland is focused on

Continued content patches, balance tuning, dedicated server stability, and progression toward a 1.0 release once the major content waves settle.

The cadence

Multiple major content patches per year plus regular hotfixes. Qooland publishes patch notes and roadmap snapshots through Steam and the official Discord.

2025 in Review (Where We Came From)

For the previous year's coverage, see Soulmask 2025 Roadmap & Updates. The short summary heading into 2026:

  • New biomes and zones expanded the world map across 2024–2025.
  • Tribe and combat systems received iterative tuning and additions.
  • Mounts and traversal improved over the year, with new mount types and movement tools.
  • Multiplayer / dedicated server stability and capacity grew patch over patch.

What's on the 2026 Plan

Qooland's public posture for 2026 is continued Early Access investment with eventual progression to a 1.0 release. The categories they've signaled:

  • Content depth. More tribes, NPCs, gear sets, and storylines.
  • Endgame loop. Late-game progression — bosses, raids, and rare materials — has been a recurring focus.
  • Quality-of-life polish. Inventory, base-building, controller, and accessibility work.
  • Server stability. Larger group support and longer uptime windows.
  • 1.0 readiness. Qooland has not published a 1.0 date but has indicated the EA cycle is winding toward eventual full release rather than expanding indefinitely.

Speculation note: a hard 1.0 date for 2026 has not been confirmed. Treat that as community speculation until Qooland announces it formally on Steam.

Dedicated Server Outlook

Server hosts can expect a continuation of the trajectory through 2025:

  • More config options. New gameplay tunables in the server config with each content patch.
  • Larger lobbies. Capacity has grown over EA; expect more.
  • Save and migration tools. Tooling to back up and migrate worlds has improved.

Modding Status

Soulmask does not have official mod support as of 2026. Community tweaks exist but are unofficial and version-fragile. Official modding tooling — if Qooland ships it — would be a notable roadmap milestone. Until then, plan around vanilla content.

How to Track Releases

  • Steam news feed for Soulmask is the canonical patch source.
  • Official Discord — fastest source for dev hints and patch teasers.
  • Subreddit and Steam community hub aggregate patch reactions and surface community asks Qooland tends to respond to.
  • This page will be updated as 2026 patches firm up.
