V Rising: Dracula Boss Guide & Soul Shards
In the V Rising 1.0 release, the vampire lord Dracula has returned as the final V Blood boss. Toppling him is the ultimate achievement for any vampire, granting access to the legendary **Soul Shard of Dracula**.
Location: Dracula is located in the **Shadow Realm** at the heart of the **Ruins of Mortium**. You must have the **Blood Key** in your inventory to enter his castle.
1. Battle Preparation
Dracula is a Level 90 boss. Do not attempt this fight with anything less than a Gear Score of 85+.
- Recommended Weapons: The Reaper is excellent for clearing blood crystals in Phase 2, while the Whip or Longbow help with mobility in Phase 1.
- Potions: Potion of Rage, Witch Potion, and at least 20 Blood Rose Potions.
- Blood Type: 100% Scholar (for spell power) or Rogue (for movement and crit).
2. The Three Phases of Normal Mode
Phase 1: The Human Form
Focus on dodging his sword strikes and fire lines.
- Bloodstorm: When red orbs spiral out, dodge through the gaps. If hit, you will be yanked toward the center for a massive slam.
- Wolf Lunge: He will transform and dash. Dodge *under* him as he lunges to avoid the follow-up swipe.
Phase 2: The Ascended King
Dracula gains wings and more powerful area-of-effect attacks.
- Blood Crystals: He summons massive crystals that fire rings of red energy. **Priority #1:** Dash through the rings and destroy the crystals immediately, or they will overwhelm the arena.
- Ultimate Window: Wait for him to finish his "Falling Swords" animation before unleashing your ultimate.
Phase 3: The Heart of Blood
A final rush where you must prevent minions from reaching the center while damaging Dracula's core. Use stuns and high-damage AoE spells here.
3. Rewards: The Soul Shard of Dracula
Defeating Dracula grants one of the most powerful items in the game:
- Stats: +25% Damage to Vampires, +25% Blood Type Efficiency.
- Blood Storm: Replaces your ultimate. Grants 3 seconds of invulnerability followed by a nova of 25 homing blood bolts.
- Recipe: Unlocks **Dracula's Chestguard**, the best physical armor in the game.
Note: Soul Shards lose durability over 48 hours. You must "recharge" them by defeating level 80+ V Blood bosses while carrying the shard.
