In the vast, vertical world of Embervale, mobility is everything. The **Ghost Glider** represents the pinnacle of ancient technology, offering a massive 250% horizontal range and a speed of 25—making it the essential tool for navigating the dangerous **Kindlewastes** and endgame Shroud zones.
1. Performance Stats
With a stamina drain of only 4 per second, the Ghost Glider allows for incredible flight times, especially when paired with the Updraft skill in the Survivor tree.
2. Requirements
The glider is found in a Level 30+ area. Ensure you have high-tier armor and a decent ranged weapon before attempting the Sun Temple raid.
3. Upgrading
Unlike early gliders, the Ghost Glider cannot be crafted until you find the unique blueprint hidden at the peak of the Sun Temple.
The Kindlewastes Sun Temple: Rune Puzzle
To access the final golden chest containing the Ghost Glider blueprint, you must solve a vertical puzzle involving four glowing runes hidden throughout the exterior of the temple tower.
- Rune #1: Located behind the main entrance stairs, hidden inside a small alcove blocked by destructible wooden crates.
- Rune #2: On the ceiling of the first external balcony to the east. You must lean over the railing and shoot upward.
- Rune #3: Tucked behind a large stone pillar in the central courtyard where the elite Scavengers patrol.
- Rune #4: Near the very top of the scaffold. You can see it through a small stone window from the northern side.
The Updraft & Endurance Combo
To truly master the Ghost Glider, you should invest in these two skills:
- Updraft: Pressing Space while gliding gives you a small vertical boost at the cost of stamina. This can be used once per flight to reach otherwise impossible heights.
- Endurance (Survivor Path): Increases your total stamina pool, which directly translates to how far you can glide before your character is forced into a vertical dive.
Expert Tip: Carry **Explosive Powder Balls**. Many of the puzzles in the Sun Temple are designed to trap you in tight hallways with explosive barrels. You can use your own explosives to create "shortcuts" through the temple walls, bypassing the most dangerous ambushes.
