Enshrouded 2026: The Road to 1.0
As we enter 2026, Keen Games has shifted Enshrouded into its final major phase before full release. The headline feature for the early year is Adventure Sharing, a system that fundamentally changes how the community interacts with the world of Embervale.
🌍 Adventure Sharing V1
Released in Spring 2026 (Patch 0.8), Adventure Sharing allows players to package their entire world state, including builds, lore notes and custom spawners, and share it as a downloadable "Adventure." This has birthed a new scene of community-made dungeon crawls and RPG maps.
Enshrouded 1.0 (October 15, 2026)
The road ended on October 15, 2026, when Enshrouded 1.0 left early access on PC and PlayStation 5. What it means for a shared or hosted world:
- Worlds carry over. 1.0 converts an Early Access world to a new, smaller save format the first time it loads it and keeps the old files. On the servers we run, the conversion happened on the first start of the 1.0 server build.
- Skills are reset. The skill tree resets the first time a player loads an existing save in 1.0, so everyone spends their skill points again.
- A new start is recommended, not required. Keen Games still encourages a fresh world, because the world and the first hours of the game changed a lot.

Technical Mastery: Server Hosting 2026
Enshrouded servers are capped at 16 players, which is both the default and the maximum the slot count setting accepts.
- Chunk-Based Rendering: Significantly reduces GPU load in large player-built cities.
- Persistent Weather: Servers now handle global weather cycles (Acid Rain, Blizzards) with zero impact on tick performance.
- Console Launch: 1.0 came out on PC and PlayStation 5 on October 15, 2026, and the Xbox Series X|S edition follows in spring 2027. Keen Games said on October 13, 2026 that Enshrouded is not cross-platform at launch and gave no date for crossplay.
