FS25 Server Not Showing? Start Here
When players say the server is gone, the host is rarely the only suspect. In FS25, browser visibility problems usually come from version mismatch, DLC mismatch, broken mod parity, or crossplay friction between platforms.
Fast triage: confirm all players are on the same game version, same active DLC set, and the exact same mod list before touching anything else.
Most Common Causes
| Problem | What You See | First Check |
|---|---|---|
| Version mismatch | Server missing or instant join failure | Patch level after updates like 1.16 |
| DLC mismatch | Some players join, others cannot | Who owns Highlands Fishing, Vredo, or other packs |
| Mod mismatch | Download loop or failed join | Exact mod versions and activation state |
| Crossplay issue | Console players fail more often than PC | Console-safe mod setup and GIANTS service status |
Admin Checklist
- Restart the server after every game update and again after the first post-patch test join.
- Temporarily disable newly added mods and check whether the server appears cleanly in the browser.
- Ask one console player and one PC player to test separately so you know whether the problem is crossplay-specific.
- Compare DLC ownership before enabling a new map or equipment pack for the whole farm.
- Rename the server clearly if you run multiple farms to avoid players joining the wrong one.
Do not guess: if a problem began right after a patch or pack release, assume compatibility first and network failure second. That saves a lot of wasted troubleshooting.
