Admin Commands - Necesse Wiki

Necesse: Admin, Moderation & World Commands

Modern **Necesse** server administration is handled through a straightforward chat-based console. Whether you are managing a public community server or playing a private run with friends, knowing the right slash (/) commands can help you resolve player conflicts, troubleshoot stuck entities, or customize the game's challenge in real-time.

1. Authentication

In mid-game, you can promote a player to admin using their name or UID. Admins have access to moderation tools but cannot enable cheats unless the owner allows it.

2. Managing Cheats

Advanced commands like /give or /spawn require Cheats to be enabled. Note: Enabling cheats disables Steam achievements for that world!

3. Real-time Saves

While the server autosaves frequently, it is best practice to run a manual /save before performing a server restart or making major village changes.

Essential Player Moderation

Command Effect
/kick [player]Instantly removes a player from the current session.
/ban [player] [reason]Permanently blocks a player's Steam UID from reconnecting.
/unban [player]Removes a player from the blacklist.
/broadcast [message]Sends a global message displayed in the center of every player's screen.
/mypermissionsTells you exactly what you are allowed to do on the current server.

World & Environment Control

  • Teleportation: /tp [player] [x] [y]. Use this to rescue players who have clipped under the map or are stuck in a dungeon.
  • Difficulty: /difficulty [casual/normal/hard/brutal]. Can be adjusted instantly to match the skill level of your group.
  • Time Mastery: /time [day/night] or /time [0-24000] to set a specific hour.
  • Raids: /raids [never/always/default]. Switch to never if you want to focus on building without constant interruptions.

Enabling & Using Cheats

  1. Type /allowcheats in the console.
  2. Type /allowcheats a second time to confirm. A world-wide message will announce that achievements are now disabled.

Once cheats are active, you gain access to:

  • /give [itemname] [quantity] - Spawns any item in the game database.
  • /invincibility - Prevents your character from taking damage.
  • /hp [player] [amount] - Forcefully sets a player's health to the target value.
  • /itemlist - Opens a local searchable UI for finding specific item IDs.

Pro Tip: Use the /help command followed by a page number (e.g., /help 2) to see the full list of over 50+ available commands, including administrative tweaks added by some Necesse mods.

Govern your world with absolute precision. Host your Necesse server with Supercraft and enjoy a dedicated web console that makes moderation tasks fast and efficient.
