Satisfactory Roadmap 2026 — Anniversary Update, Patch 1.3 & Beyond

Coffee Stain Studios shipped Satisfactory 1.0 in September 2024 after years of Early Access, then followed up with the 1.2 "Anniversary" update that overhauled fluid mechanics and shipping logistics. This page tracks what's confirmed, what's hinted, and what's likely for Satisfactory through 2026 and into 2027.

Patch 1.2 is the live build. Anniversary event content, fluid-transport revolution, new logistics machines.

What's next

Coffee Stain has telegraphed Patch 1.3 as the next major drop, with focus on multiplayer/server stability and quality-of-life additions.

The cadence

Coffee Stain ships 2-3 major updates a year on Satisfactory, plus dedicated-server hotfixes. Less frequent than weekly games, more committed than typical post-1.0 indie releases.

Patch 1.2 — Anniversary Update (Live)

The 1.2 update landed in early 2026 and is the current stable. Headline changes:

  • Fluid transport revolution — Pipes overhauled, headlift behavior tightened, fluid buffering more predictable. Fewer "ghost fluid" bugs in long pipelines.
  • Anniversary event content — Limited-time decorations, blueprints, and FICSMAS-adjacent items that may rotate seasonally.
  • Dedicated server stability — Memory-leak fixes, longer uptime windows, better save-tick recovery on high-machine-count factories.
  • QoL polish — Hotbars, blueprints, build-mode shortcuts.

Patch 1.3 — What's Hinted

Coffee Stain hasn't published a hard release date for 1.3 (their typical pattern is "when it's ready"), but community discussion and developer comments point at:

  • Multiplayer optimization — Continued focus on host-vs-guest desync, large-build replication, dedicated server CPU efficiency at 4+ players.
  • Building system tweaks — Possibly more Vertical Foundations / nudge improvements; community asks have been loud here.
  • New tier(s) of milestones — Whether 1.3 adds tier 9/10 milestones or a separate "endgame" loop is still speculation.
  • Modding support — Coffee Stain has been historically modder-friendly; 1.3 may expand official modding hooks.

Speculation note: historical Coffee Stain patches arrive 4–6 months after the prior major update. If 1.2 was early 2026, 1.3 likely lands mid-to-late 2026.

Beyond 1.3 — Long-Term Roadmap

Coffee Stain has not committed to a "final" version of Satisfactory. The team has indicated continued investment for as long as the player community engages. Realistic expectations for late 2026 / 2027:

  • Patch 1.4 with another content theme (logistics / power / endgame are the most-asked).
  • More dedicated-server-side polish — server scaling, multi-host save sharing, mod-pack tooling.
  • No DLC announced; Coffee Stain has favored free updates over paid expansions.
  • No sequel announcement; Satisfactory remains the primary product.

Dedicated Server Roadmap

For server hosts specifically, the trajectory through 2026 is:

  • Continued stability work on the headless dedicated server (Patch 1.2 already improved long-uptime memory handling).
  • Better admin tooling — likely improved console commands and more configurable hosting.ini options.
  • Save migration improvements — easier import/export for moving saves between local play and dedicated.
  • Larger player counts on dedicated — Coffee Stain has acknowledged community asks for 8+ player support; no commitment yet.
