Satisfactory: Joining & Managing Dedicated Servers
Unlike many other survival games that use a simple "Join by IP" box, Satisfactory features a dedicated **Server Manager** integrated directly into the main menu. This tool allows you to "Claim" servers, manage worlds, and switch between save games without entering a session.
1. The Server Manager
Found on the main menu, this is your hub for all dedicated server interactions. You must add your server here before you can join it.
2. IP & Port
7777 is the port Satisfactory uses when you run the server yourself. A hosted server is given its own port, so use the address and port your control panel shows, not 7777.
3. Claiming Your World
The first person to join a new server must "Claim" it by setting an Admin Password. This prevents unauthorized users from taking control of your hardware.
Step-by-Step: Joining Your Server
- Launch Satisfactory and select Server Manager from the menu.
- Click the Add Server button at the bottom of the list.
- Enter your server's address and port exactly as your host shows them, for example
w2.supercraft.hostwith port10440. On Supercraft that port is the one on your server's panel page; it is not 7777, and you do not need to add 7777 anywhere. - Click Confirm. If the server is online, it will appear in your list.
- Select the server. If it is brand new, you will be prompted to Claim Server:
- Give the server a Name.
- Set an Administration Password (Keep this safe!).
- Once claimed, go to the Create Game tab (if starting fresh) or the Status tab and click Join Game.
Troubleshooting Common Connection Issues

| Connection Timeout | On a hosted server this almost always means it is still starting up, or the port typed into the Server Manager is not the one on the panel. Ports are already open on Supercraft, so there is nothing to forward. On a self-hosted machine, check UDP on the port the server was launched with. |
| Incompatible Version | The server needs to be updated via the Supercraft Panel to match your local game client version. |
| Unauthorized Request | You need to enter the Admin Password in the "Server Settings" tab before you can manage the server. |
Note: If you are moving from a single-player world to a dedicated server, you don't have to start over! You can upload your local .sav files through the Server Manager's "Upload Save" tab once you have successfully claimed the server.
