Echoes of Elysium Saves, Backups & Restores
Backups are only useful if the server owner can explain which snapshot is safe to restore. Name them clearly, take one before big changes, and avoid panic-restoring over a smaller issue that could have been fixed another way.
| Backup Moment | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Before rule or content changes | Lets you revert cleanly if the session goes bad |
| Before maintenance | Protects you from update-day surprises |
| Before inviting a big new group | Gives you a pre-expansion fallback point |
Restore Discipline
- Tell players exactly how far back a restore will go before you do it.
- Take a fresh snapshot of the broken state before overwriting anything.
- Keep one labeled “known good” restore point after a clean session.
