Using the VEIN In-Game Admin Menu Effectively

Moderate your server in real-time using the graphical admin interface, allowing you to teleport, spawn items, kick griefers, and investigate glitches without minimizing the game.

Granting Admin Privileges

Before you can open the menu, the server must recognize you as a god. Locate your Config.ini file.

Paste your 64-bit SteamID64 (obtainable from sites like steamid.io) into the comma-separated list. Restart the server.

Accessing the Panel

Once in-game, press the designated Admin Panel key (frequently Insert, F8, or accessible via typing enablecheats in the tilde ~ console). A graphical overlay will appear.

Core Functionalities

  • Player Management: View all logged-in players, their latency, and coordinates. Click their name to Kick, Ban, or Teleport to them (perfect for investigating hackers).
  • Item Spawner: Contains an index of every weapon, medical supply, and building material. Useful for constructing Admin-hosted arenas or reimbursing players who lost gear to a server crash.
  • World Controls: Sliders to instantly change the time of day, purge zombies, or forcefully clear dropped items to restore server frame rates.
