VEIN Roleplay Server Guide: Rules, Moderation & Community Setup

VEIN Roleplay Server Setup

A good VEIN roleplay server is a community contract backed by reliable operations. Define what is in-character, how conflict works, who can moderate, and how a player recovers from a crash before advertising a faction or event.

Write the rules first

  • Define PvP, stealing, base access, raids, and safe areas.
  • Explain whether voice/text chat is in-character or out-of-character.
  • Set a process for warnings, kicks, bans, appeals, and staff review.
  • Publish a wipe/update policy and the backup/rollback rule.
  • Keep the server name and description honest about the build and mods.

Operator roles

RoleResponsibility
OwnerPackage, billing, backups, and final recovery decision.
ModeratorPlayer reports and rule enforcement.
Event leadSchedules scenarios using only controls the current build supports.
Community leadOnboarding, announcements, and feedback.

Configuration policy

Use the world-settings workflow for any gameplay change. Do not promise factions, economies, quests, admin spawn tools, or custom loadouts unless the current build or installed mod actually provides them. Change one item, test it, and back up first.

Launch checklist

  1. Prove a private join.
  2. Test the normal account and moderator account.
  3. Back up the baseline world.
  4. Publish the rules and maintenance window.
  5. Open the community gradually and watch logs/feedback.
