VEIN PvP Server Settings: Rules, Access & Safe Testing

VEIN PvP Server Settings and Rules

Decide what the community means by PvP before changing a server option. The current package may expose a global rule, a preset, or no server-side switch at all. Do not rely on a guessed [ServerSettings] block.

Write the policy

  • Is PvP always allowed, opt-in, event-only, or prohibited?
  • Are bases, vehicles, new players, and safe areas protected?
  • What counts as griefing?
  • How are disputes reviewed and rolled back?
  • Which staff can change the rule?

Test the actual control

  1. Back up the world.
  2. Use the current panel or documented key.
  3. Change one rule on a test copy.
  4. Test two normal accounts in a controlled area.
  5. Restart and verify the setting is still active.
  6. Publish the result before opening the server.

Performance and recovery

Large events can change CPU, network, and save load. Monitor the server and keep a backup before an event. If the rule produces an unexpected result, stop, preserve logs, and restore the test copy.
