Palworld Map 2026: Fast Travel, Towers, Alpha Bosses, Dungeons (Sakurajima)
This is a working Palworld map you can use to plan your runs. Filter by category to focus on what matters right now, pan around to find what’s near your base, and tap a marker for context (level recommendations, regional hazards, what each location actually drops). Sakurajima content is in.
How to read the map
The colored circles are regions, the dots are points of interest. Five categories of POI are tracked:
- Fast Travel (yellow): unlockable teleport points. Walk to each one once to unlock it permanently.
- Towers (pink): the five Syndicate towers, each a story-progression fight that unlocks a region’s content.
- Alpha Bosses (red): named overworld Alphas that drop top-tier captures. These don’t respawn on a fixed timer; world resets handle them.
- Dungeons (purple): random-generated dungeons that respawn at the same map markers but with shuffled internal layouts.
- Resource Clusters (green): high-density nodes for coal, sulfur, quartz, ore, and pure quartz. The cluster spots respawn nodes faster than random spots would.
Regions, level ranges, and what to bring
Palworld scales geographically. The early-game starts at Plateau of Beginnings and pushes you outward. Approximate level ranges for each region:
- Plateau of Beginnings (Lvl 1-15): your starting biome. Build your first base here near the spawn fast-travel point. Grass and Normal-type Pals dominate.
- Sea Breeze Archipelago (Lvl 5-20): island chain south of Plateau. Water-type captures, shellfish farms, light combat. Optional but worth visiting before the first tower.
- Bamboo Groves (Lvl 15-30): east of Plateau. The natural second region after Tower 1. Grass-type Pals, Petallia, and the Free Pal Alliance Tower fight here.
- Verdant Brook (Lvl 25-40): north of Plateau. Mossanda and stronger forest Pals. Cool weather gear helpful but not required.
- Twilight Dunes (Lvl 35-50): west desert. Heat resistance required (Heat-Resistant Pelt Armor or Pal with Heated Body trait). Anubis lives here.
- Sulfur Marshland (Lvl 40-50): southwest poison biome. Poison-resistant Pals or gear required. Helzephyr and Felbat captures are top-tier for endgame teams.
- Mount Obsidian (Lvl 45-50+): western volcano region. Top-tier heat resistance required. Jetragon spawns in the crater. Coal is everywhere.
- Astral Mountains (Lvl 45-50+): far north. Cold-resistant gear required. Frostallion’s home. Quartz farms here are the best in the pre-Sakurajima game.
- Sakurajima (Lvl 50+, post-update): far east island. Endgame content. Bellanoir, Xenolord, Blazamut Ryu raids. Refined Ingots and Pure Quartz only spawn here.
The five Tower fights in order
The Syndicate towers gate story progression. You can technically attack them in any order if you’re strong enough, but the intended progression is roughly:
- Rayne Syndicate (Zoe & Grizzbolt): Lvl ~15 recommended. The fight teaches Pal-swapping during boss combat. Bring Ground-type Pals.
- Free Pal Alliance (Lily & Lyleen): Lvl ~30. Lyleen is a healing-focused Pal. Bring Fire-type damage and a sturdy frontline.
- Brothers of Eternal Pyre (Axel & Orserk): Lvl ~35. Electric theme. Bring Ground-types and a counter to Orserk’s high speed.
- PIDF (Marcus & Faleris): Lvl ~40. Faleris is a Fire-Flying Pal worth capturing. Water + Electric Pals counter well.
- Moonflower (Saya & Selyne): Sakurajima endgame. Lvl 50+. Selyne is a top-tier Dark Pal capture.
Alpha bosses worth chasing
Alpha Pals are oversized versions of standard Pals with elevated level and stat lines. They’re worth the effort because their captures are functionally better than world-spawn equivalents.
- Mammorest (Plateau): your first realistic Alpha capture. Grass-type, slow, easily kited.
- Anubis (Twilight Dunes): best mid-game work-stat Pal. A captured Anubis dominates base production until you reach Sakurajima.
- Frostallion (Astral): top Ice Pal, top flying mount until Jetragon. Required for endgame Ice teams.
- Jetragon (Mount Obsidian crater): fastest flying mount in the game. Hatched from a Huge Scorching Egg.
- Necromus & Paladius (Astral): the hardest non-Sakurajima encounter. Duo fight, both with high HP and complementary abilities.
- Bellanoir, Blazamut Ryu, Xenolord (Sakurajima): raid bosses. Multi-player encounters. Drop materials for endgame gear progression.
Dungeon strategy
Dungeons in Palworld have randomized internal layouts but consistent regional themes. The marker locations on the map are stable. Each run inside is procedurally generated. Three rules:
First, dungeons are timed. You have around 20 minutes before the dungeon collapses and forces you out. Plan your run, don’t get greedy on optional rooms.
Second, the entrance Pal you see at the spawn portal is the dungeon’s elite enemy. If it’s a type you can’t counter, skip the run and come back with appropriate Pals.
Third, mini-boss rooms have a chance to drop schematics (legendary weapon and armor blueprints). The drop rate increases with region difficulty. Don’t farm low-level dungeons for schematics; the rates aren’t good enough.
Resource cluster priorities
The flagged resource clusters on the map are where multiple high-value nodes spawn close together, which makes a base placement there efficient. Two patterns to think about:
A coal-and-sulfur dual base on the Mount Obsidian / Sulfur Marshland border lets you support an ammunition-heavy playstyle. You’ll need at least a small breeding farm for Lifmunk (for sulfur work bonus) and Tanzee (for coal mining).
A pure quartz base on Sakurajima becomes mandatory in the endgame: Pure Quartz is required for the top crafting tier and only spawns on the island. Most groups end up with a Sakurajima outpost dedicated entirely to refining Pure Quartz and Refined Ingots.
Tips for a fresh save
If you’re starting a new world today, three things save the most time:
- Unlock all Plateau fast travel points before chasing Tower 1. Each unlocks permanently per character, and you’ll save hours of running across the campaign.
- Set up a Plateau base with Lamballs and Cattivas before anything else. They’re not exciting but the work output of three Lamballs and two Cattivas at Lvl 5 is enough to keep your crafting moving while you explore.
- Don’t try to capture Anubis below Lvl 35. You’ll burn Pal Spheres for hours. Wait until your team has level parity, then go in with Grass-type Pals (Anubis is Ground-type, weak to Grass).
Want to play with friends?
Solo and 4-player co-op runs fine on the official Palworld co-op invite system, but anyone targeting bigger groups, persistent progression while offline, or a modded experience needs a dedicated server. Our managed Palworld hosting handles all of that: automated daily backups, mod auto-install, instant restart, and crossplay-friendly slots from 8 players up to 32.
And once you’ve built your roster, the Palworld Breeding Calculator covers the IV inheritance math and chain breeding combos: it’s the natural next stop after the map.
What’s next on this map
The map covers all major POIs as of the 2026 Sakurajima content. We update region pins when patches add new content. If a marker looks wrong or you want a specific dungeon level range added, let us know.
