Abiotic Factor Save Management & Backups
Back up your world regularly to prevent corruption or accidental loss, especially before updates.
Save Locations

Game Pass: Game Pass save paths differ from Steam. Always confirm the path in your install before copying files.
Manual Backup
- Stop the server (or exit the game for single-player).
- Copy the entire world folder to a safe location.
- Label it with a date and the game version.
- Restart the server.
Restore a Backup
- Stop the server.
- Replace the current world folder with your backup copy.
- Start the server and verify the world loads.
Player Files
Player data is stored separately from world data. If you only want to reset a player, look for files inside the save directory that match player IDs.
