Conan Exiles Isle of Siptah Dedicated Server Setup

The Isle of Siptah expansion introduces a radically different map to Conan Exiles, featuring the massive magical Maelstrom storm system, vaults, and Surges of Power mechanics that periodically flood the map with powerful NPC waves. Setting up a Siptah dedicated server differs from the default Exiled Lands configuration in several important ways.

🌪️ Maelstrom Events

Siptah's Maelstrom is server-side driven. The storm's intensity and duration are configurable; poorly tuned settings can spike CPU usage by 300% during a full Surge event.

📦 Extra DLC Requirement

All players joining a Siptah server must own the Isle of Siptah DLC. The server itself does NOT need a separate DLC key—it switches maps via configuration only.

Switching to Isle of Siptah

In your startup configuration or ConanSandbox.ini, set the map to Siptah's level path:

Maelstrom Performance Settings

Vault Configuration

Vaults are Siptah's primary endgame activity. Each vault spawn is persistent and can be locked by a clan. Control vault respawn:

  • VaultRespawnTime=86400 — Vaults respawn 24 hours after being cleared
  • MaxSimultaneousVaults=5 — Limit concurrent active vaults to reduce load

Performance Warning: During a maximum-intensity Surge, the server spawns up to 200 AI entities simultaneously. For servers with 20+ players, we strongly recommend dedicated hardware with 16 GB RAM minimum and a CPU with strong single-thread performance.
