Conan Exiles Server Wipe Guide

How to Wipe Your Server

Whether you want a fresh start or just a building cleanup, here are the methods to wipe your Conan Exiles server.

Option 1: The Full Wipe (Fresh Start)

This deletes everything: characters, leveled pets, buildings, and clans.

  1. Stop the server completely.
  2. Navigate to: ConanSandbox/Saved/.
  3. Delete the main database: game.db.
  4. Crucial: Also delete any backup files like game_backup_1.db, otherwise the server may try to restore them.
  5. Start the server to generate a fresh world.

Option 2: Partial Wipe (Buildings Only)

If you want to keep character levels but remove all buildings (great for seasonal refreshes), use the built-in cleanup tool.

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Run the file: ConanSandbox/ServerCleanup.bat (Windows) or use the -cleanup command line argument.
  3. Follow the prompts to delete non-essential data while preserving characters.

What About Mods?

Some mods (like Pippi or DungeonMaster) store data in separate .db files within the Saved folder. Delete those too if you want a truly 100% clean slate.
