Current at September 16, 2026: the September 2026 update shipped that day, bringing 64-bit binaries for the Windows client, dedicated servers and most developer tools. On Linux, 64-bit comes from the x86-64 branch and needs ./srcds_run_x64, not the ordinary ./srcds_run. Server installation is still SteamCMD app 4020, with optional GSLT and +host_workshop_collection. Start with the dedicated-server setup, then use the connection checklist before changing addons.
