Icarus Elysium Guide: Dangerous Horizons Map, Missions & Resources

Dangerous Horizons

Icarus Elysium Guide: Dangerous Horizons

Elysium is the hazardous new Icarus map introduced with the Dangerous Horizons expansion. The official expansion description highlights radiation, Eden, new creatures and resources, six linked missions, Tier 5 progression, mounts, and a new boss encounter. Use the in-game map and current patch notes for exact spawn locations because those details can change.

Before you drop

  • Expansion: Dangerous Horizons
  • Map: Elysium
  • Progression: new missions and Tier 5 objectives
  • Hazards: radiation and high-risk exploration
  • Preparation: bring protection, repair materials, food, and a backup plan for extraction

Elysium progression

  1. Read the current mission brief and identify the chain's required objectives.
  2. Establish a safe staging point before pushing into radiation zones.
  3. Upgrade equipment and protection before attempting Tier 5 work.
  4. Coordinate mounts, resources, and extraction routes with the whole group.
  5. Back up the server or world before a major mission step or update.

Radiation and exploration

Radiation changes the risk calculation: a route that is short on the map may be expensive if the group lacks protection or recovery supplies. Mark safe return routes, avoid splitting the party on first exploration, and treat a new patch as a reason to re-check equipment and mission requirements.

Creatures, mounts, and resources

Dangerous Horizons adds new wildlife and mount-related progression. Confirm the current taming, mount, and resource details in the live game build rather than relying on fixed coordinates or old spreadsheets. A dedicated server keeps the shared world available, but it does not remove the need for clients to own and install the required content.

Hosting Elysium with friends

  • Keep server and clients on the same game and expansion build.
  • Use a persistent Open World when the group wants to return between sessions.
  • Keep mission and world backups before updates and large builds.
  • Use the Icarus admin commands guide for supported server administration.

Host an Icarus server with Supercraft for persistent worlds, daily backups, and regional deployment.
