Voyagers of Nera Server Setup Guide

How to Set Up a Voyagers of Nera Dedicated Server

Voyagers of Nera allows you to host private dedicated servers for you and your friends. Follow this guide to get your server running. Prefer not to self-host? Get a Voyagers of Nera server hosting plan instead.

System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit). Linux is supported via Wine/Proton but native Linux builds may vary.
  • CPU: Quad-core processor (Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 minimum).
  • RAM: 8GB Minimum, 16GB Recommended.

Installation via SteamCMD

Currently, the most reliable way to host is via the Steam client or SteamCMD. Check the official Steam page for the dedicated server tool App ID (often released separately).

If a standalone ID is not yet public, you may need to run the server from the main game client directory using the batch mode flag.

launch Arguments

Create a start.bat file in your game directory:

VoyagersOfNera.exe -server -log -port=7777

Configuration

Configuration files are typically located in /VoyagersOfNera/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/.

You can adjust:

  • ServerName: The visible name in the browser.
  • MaxPlayers: Cap the player count (Default is usually 10).
  • Password: Secure your server.

Port Forwarding

Ensure the following ports are open on your router/firewall:

  • UDP/TCP: 7777 (Game Port)
  • UDP/TCP: 27015 (Query Port)

Note: As the game is in active development, specific App IDs and config settings change frequently. Always check the official Discord for the latest changelogs.

We don't host Voyagers of Nera

These guides stay published because they are useful, but Voyagers of Nera is not a server you can rent from us. Have a look at what we do run instead.
