The official SCS dedicated server

SCS publishes a dedicated Convoy server and we run it on Linux, updated alongside the game so a patch never leaves your drivers on a mismatched version at the start of a convoy night.

Eight drivers standard, 128 if everyone opts in

Eight is the convoy size SCS supports and the one that just works: you start the server, your drivers join, nobody edits anything. Every plan here carries the full eight, because the server does not get more expensive when more of your VTC shows up. What separates the plans is memory, which is what map DLC and a mod list actually consume.

Above eight there is an unofficial route. Setting g_max_convoy_size up to 128 in config_ds.cfg raises the server's cap, and it is a real thing that real convoys run. The catch is on the other side: every driver has to set the same value in their own game or your server will not even appear in their browser. SCS has not sanctioned it, so treat it as experimental and expect a game update to reset it. Our 8 GB plan has the headroom for it; the other two do not pretend to.

Session settings you control

Session name, password, traffic, collisions, damage and the rest of the server config are edited in the panel, and the server restarts on your schedule rather than someone's bedtime.

FAQ

Yes. Set a session password in the panel and only drivers with the password can join your convoy.

Eight, and every plan includes all eight - that is the convoy size SCS supports, and it needs no setup from your drivers. Beyond that, setting g_max_convoy_size up to 128 in config_ds.cfg raises the server cap, but every driver must set the same value in their own game or they cannot see the server. It is unofficial and a game update can reset it, so we size the 8 GB plan for it and label it experimental rather than selling it as a slot count.

Yes, when every driver has the same mods installed on their side, which is how Convoy works. The session and server settings are edited in the panel.

We host in US West (Oregon), US North-East (Toronto), Europe West (Paris), and Australia (Sydney) for low latency.

Yes. Automatic snapshots plus on-demand backups before risky changes, with one-click restore from the panel.

Pricing follows driver slots. The SCS server is light, so the choice is about how many drivers you run, not resources.

Yes. In My Account, Subscriptions, you can upgrade to a higher tier with the same billing cadence. Upgrades are in-place: quota update and restart, settings preserved.
