Best Base Locations in Palworld (2026): Coordinates & Resources

Best Base Locations in Palworld (2026)

Coordinates are for the Palapagos map (current, pre-1.0). Palworld 1.0 (July 10, 2026) adds the World Tree region and a second island - we will add the new spots once they are live.

A base location is decided by three things: resources (ore, coal, and other nodes inside the build radius), flat buildable space, and safety (how often it gets raided and the level of nearby enemies). To travel to a coordinate, open the map and read the X, Y readout as you move your cursor. You have three base slots by default - a common setup is one main/crafting base, one mining base, and one specialist (oil/sulfur) base.

Best overall resource base

LocationCoordsWhy
Mountain peak (top pick)192, 385-6 ore and 5-6 coal nodes inside one base radius, on a non-raidable peak. The best all-round resource base on the main island.

Best mining / ore-coal bases

LocationCoordsWhy
Heavy ore + coal270, -2308 ore nodes + 5 coal - the densest dedicated mine base.
Ore-rich main/mine-255, 426 ore nodes; works as a main base or mine.

Best beginner base

LocationCoordsWhy
Windswept Plateau~100, -150Near the starting area, flat, naturally defensible, and a good resource balance for a first base.

Endgame / specialist bases

LocationCoordsWhy
Sakurajima Oil Fields-646, 270Crude oil rigs with vast flat space - but level 50+ enemies, so build it last.
Mount Obsidian West-744, -442Sulfur in the volcanic zone - the base for ammo and explosives production.
North of Cinnamoth Forest-33, -171Coal veins, skill fruits, and wood - a strong hybrid-production spot.

Quick picks

  • First base: Windswept Plateau (~100, -150).
  • Best single resource base: 192, 38 (ore + coal, raid-safe).
  • Dedicated mine: 270, -230 (8 ore).
  • Endgame oil: Sakurajima -646, 270.

Put the right workers on those nodes - see the best Pals tier list (Anubis, Astegon and friends for mining) and the raid & base-defense automation guide for keeping a resource base safe.
