Eidrolon: Location, Boss, Saddle & Breeding (Palworld 1.0)
Eidrolon is a Dragon and Dark type Pal added in Palworld 1.0 (Paldeck #171) and one of the update's most wanted flying mounts. Its partner skill scales with your party composition, it appears both in the original islands and inside The World Tree, and unlike the 1.0 legendaries it can be bred.
Where to catch Eidrolon
- Wild: spawns on the Palpagos Islands and in The World Tree, day and night.
- Boss: Wings of Freedom Eidrolon, a level 69 field boss at Waterlily Gorge (coordinates -489, -1521).
- Dungeon: level 65 to 69 spawns in the Sunreach Skies dungeon, and level 80 spawns inside The World Tree.
If you are still working through the endgame zones, see the 1.0 level map and zone progression for when these areas become survivable.
Partner skill: Liberated Pterosaur
Eidrolon can be ridden as a flying mount. While it is in your party, its Attack and Movement Speed increase by 2 to 6 percent for each other Dragon or Dark Pal in your party (the bonus scales with the skill's level). A full Dragon/Dark lineup turns it into one of the fastest hard-hitting fliers in 1.0, which is exactly what you want for World Tree runs and field boss rotations.
Saddle and work
- Mount: requires the Eidrolon Saddle, unlocked at Technology level 68.
- Work suitability: Transporting level 6.
- Appetite: high (9), so budget food if you keep one working at base.
Breeding Eidrolon
Eidrolon is breedable: the 1.0 dataset lists 263 parent pairs that produce it, and eggs hatch from a Large Dragon Egg. Use the Palworld 1.0 breeding calculator to reverse-search the pairs you can actually assemble from your box, or to solve the shortest chain from what you own. A fire variant, Eidrolon Ignis, is obtained through breeding.
Note that the 1.0 rebalance changed many familiar combos, so double-check anything you remember from before July 2026 in the calculator rather than trusting an old chart.
Also new in 1.0: Solenne, the game's best Handiwork Pal, and Panthalus, the flying whale that gates The World Tree.
Eidrolon on a dedicated server
Two server notes. First, the 263-pair breeding pool makes Eidrolon a good target for a shared breeding program: on a 24/7 world your guild can split parent hunting and Cake production, and the calculator's IV planner accepts your server's PalEggDefaultHatchingTime to estimate real hours. Second, the level 69 boss respawns on a timer, so a persistent server lets the group run rotations instead of each player re-hosting. If you are setting one up, start with the dedicated server guide or rent a managed Palworld server with adjustable hatch and spawn settings.
