Is V Rising Cross-Platform? (2026 Crossplay Status)
Short answer: No. PC (Steam) and PS5 V Rising are on separate server pools with no crossplay between them. The Xbox Series X|S edition is in development but has not shipped as of mid-2026. Stunlock has not announced any plan to bridge PC and console.

Why V Rising Stays Platform-Locked
Stunlock has not formally explained the lack of crossplay, but the design and update cadence make the reasons apparent:
- PvP-first design. V Rising's clan-vs-clan combat, castle siege, and base raiding are skill-tested in real-time. Mouse-and-keyboard aim plus full hotbar access give PC players a measurable edge over controller players in the active-combat phases. Stunlock prioritizes fairness over a unified server pool.
- Modding ecosystem. PC has BepInEx, Wetstone, and a thriving server-side mod community. Cosmetic, gameplay-tuning, and quality-of-life mods all live on PC. Consoles cannot run them.
- Patch cadence. Stunlock pushes balance and content patches to PC quickly. Console certification adds weeks. A unified server pool would need PC to slow down to console pace.
- Server economics. Stunlock partners with Sony for the PS5 server program, which has its own pricing, slot allocation, and review process. Mixing in third-party PC hosts complicates that contract.
Console Edition Status (PS5 and Xbox)
PS5 (June 2024)
The PS5 edition shipped with feature parity to PC's 1.0 release, plus the Castlevania DLC at launch. It runs on Sony's certified server program. PS5 players have their own server browser, their own progression, and no path to PC content.
Xbox Series X|S (in development)
Stunlock confirmed Xbox is coming but has not committed to a public release date. Once it ships, the most likely first crossplay step would be PS5-to-Xbox console-only crossplay, similar to how DayZ rolled out console crossplay in 2024 before tackling PC.

Will V Rising ever support PC-PS5 crossplay?
Stunlock has not announced any plan. Industry pattern says PvP-heavy survival games rarely add PC-to-console crossplay because of the input-parity problem. A more realistic medium-term step is PS5-to-Xbox crossplay once the Xbox edition ships.
Can I move my PC character to PS5?
No. There is no save migration tool between Steam and PS5. Characters, castles, and progression are platform-locked.
