Mastering Vehicles
Vehicles are your lifeline. They provide transport, storage, and a weapon against the horde.
Repairing Vehicles
Most cars found in the wild are broken and need missing parts replaced before they run. These are the car parts in the item list of the 1.1 server build:
- Car Battery
- Alternator
- Fan Belt
- Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter
- Starter Motor
- Muffler
- Gas Tank
- Car Tire
- Fuel (fuel can)
A Car Repair Kit also exists as an item. Since 1.1 more cars in the world can be looted, and their engine compartments can hold parts.
Vehicle Types & Spawn Commands
Admins can spawn vehicles using /spawn [CarName].
| Vehicle | Spawn Name | Description |

| Police SUV | Car_Policesuv |

Car Upgrades (Mods)
Cars take upgrades in seven slots, each with three levels in the item list: bumper, rear, storage, wheels, left window, right window and windshield. Storage upgrades are the ones to chase for a loot runner; bumper and windshield upgrades matter when you drive through hordes. The game also has a Vehicle Armor item and skill books for vehicles.
Ownership and Locking
A car you claim is yours: you can lock and unlock it and drive it as normal. A car you do not own can be looted but not driven. How many cars one player may own is a server setting, MaxOwnedCars, and after a set number of real days without the owner logging in a claimed car loses its owner. Our vehicle settings guide covers both.
What 1.1 Changed for Vehicles
HumanitZ 1.1, released on 19 October 2026, added more lootable cars with parts in the engine compartment and slightly increased tire durability. Party members, clan members and escorting NPCs can ride a horse with you, and NPCs such as Doc, Dan and Tommy can get into your car. It also fixed scrap cars respawning inside spawn point areas, an exploit that let players take owned vehicles by clipping into them, and the automatic unclaim of vehicles after 14 days of inactivity.
Tip: Hostile NPC camps almost always have a working car, but you'll have to fight for it.
