Unturned Wild Harvest Update (3.26.2.0): Fishing, Pottery, Mushrooms
Quick answer: Wild Harvest (released 2 April 2026) reworks fishing into an active tension-bar minigame, adds the Pottery Kiln for crafting clay into bricks (new mid-tier building material), and drops forageable mushrooms in forested map zones. Update servers via steamcmd app_update 1110390. Old auto-fish mods are obsolete.

Fishing Minigame
The headline change. Old fishing was passive: cast, wait, collect. The new system is hands-on:
- Cast at a water tile with a fishing rod equipped.
- Wait for a bite (the rod tip bobs).
- A tension bar appears with a moving indicator. Keep it in the green zone.
- Tap reel to add tension; release to relax. The fish pulls in patterns.
- If the indicator hits red too long, the line snaps and you lose the fish.
- Win the fight, fish lands.
Larger fish have longer fights and trickier tension patterns. Smaller fish are quick and forgiving. Loot table is similar to pre-rework but the active minigame keeps players engaged.
Server admin note: any plugin or mod that hooked the old fishing tick is now broken. The tension state is client-side; the server only validates the catch result.
Pottery Kiln & Brick Crafting
The new mid-tier building material. See the dedicated Pottery Kiln Guide for recipe details. Quick version:
- Find clay: river beds and lake shores. Pick up Clay item.
- Build a Pottery Kiln: requires Stone, Stick, and a Workbench tier 1.
- Fire clay into bricks: each clay yields 1 brick after a short kiln cycle.
- Use bricks for walls/floors: HP class sits between cinder block and metal.
Mushroom Foraging

Tip: pick up mushrooms in pairs, taste-test (or cook) one before committing the rest. Toxic varieties are useful as crafting reagents in some Workshop mods.
Updating a Dedicated Server
- Stop the server cleanly via panel or
shutdown. - Run SteamCMD:
./steamcmd.sh +login anonymous +app_update 1110390 validate +quit - Verify your modlist: remove or update fishing, clay, brick, mushroom mods that haven't been refreshed for 3.26.2.0.
- Restart the server.
- Verify in-game: cast a rod (minigame should appear), check that Pottery Kiln is craftable, check forest tiles for mushroom spawns.
Common Issues After the Update
Pre-3.26.2.0 clients can't connect
Expected. Tell players to update via Steam, then reconnect.
Auto-fishing mod no longer works
Removed by design. The fishing rework requires player input; auto-fish mods conflict with the tension state. Disable the mod or wait for an updated version.
Bricks don't appear in crafting menu
Pottery Kiln must be placed and powered (it isn't electric, just placed near a Workbench). Recipe also needs Workbench tier 1 unlocked.
Hanuberry Seed quest stuck
Pre-patch bug. Ensure the server is on the latest hotfix. The harvest counter now ticks correctly.
Server lags more on Cali 2 / large maps
The patch slightly improves perf on 1k+ zombie maps but mushroom spawn passes add entities. If lag spikes, lower maxzombies on Plan M-sized servers.
