Why Conan Exiles Has No Crossplay
- Mod ecosystem. PC supports the full Steam Workshop modlist (Age of Calamitous, Pippi, Emberlight, etc.). Console builds are vanilla-locked at the platform level.
- Different storefronts. Funcom ships content updates across PC stores (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store) plus the Xbox and PlayStation stores. Console cert paths move at their own pace, so PC and console are routinely out of sync for days to weeks.
- Anti-cheat. PC, Xbox, and PlayStation each have a different anti-cheat surface. Bridging them would expose all three to each other's exploit pool.
- No announced roadmap. Unlike DayZ (which added Xbox-PS crossplay in 1.29) and Palworld (which adds it incrementally), Funcom has not publicly committed to crossplay for Conan Exiles, even with the Conan Exiles Enhanced relaunch.
